DAY 1: Nairobi-Lake Manyara
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park Lake. Manyara is a small breathtaking National Park with an immense natural richness – home of over 480 bird species, including the thousands of flamingos that shade the soda waters of the lake, pink pelicans, and the famous tree-climbing lions, which for reasons unknown sleep in the branches of African Acacia Trees.
Elephants, giraffes, Buffalo, and Wildebeest can be found in unexpected clearings in the woodlands or heading toward water sources to drink or wash. The rivers and riverbeds provide scenic views for wildlife watching. Warthog seems to thrive here, growing notably fat and tusk-erred, and it is a natural playground for Baboons and Monkeys. Dinner and overnight campsite.
DAY 2: Lake Manyara-Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast take a picnic lunch with you and drive to Ngorongoro crater with a stop at Ngorongoro Entrance Gate and at the Crater View Point for photo opportunities that are not to be missed!
A short downhill drive will take you into the Crater, which is 600m deep, making it rich in permanent grazing and browsing materials for resident animals. Where Hippos wash and wallow. 14.5km wide, the Crater is home to all the “Big Five”, which can usually be seen on one single-day visit. Hippos, cheetahs, Antelopes, and the Spotted Hyena are other species commonly seen, as well as Flamingos on the crater lakes. Return in the evening lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: Ngorongoro-Tarangire
Depart from Ngorongoro to Tarangire arriving in time for lunch. Tarangire National Park is the third largest national park in Tanzania. Located in Northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park offers beautiful landscapes featuring the flowing Tarangire River and is famed for a high concentration of elephants and many animals which gather around the river in search of water to drink. Dinner and overnight at lodge or campsite.
DAY 4: Tarangire-Nairobi
